candle wax

In our fascinating world of candle wax, we at Sternkerze use a variety of high-quality materials to create our beautiful candles. Our range includes candles made from beeswax, olive wax, rapeseed wax, paraffin and stearin to provide the perfect candle for every taste and occasion.

“The olive wax comes from Italy.”

When producing high-quality olive oil, liquid and solid residues – also called pomace – remain after the first pressing of the fruit.

The raw material for our olive wax candles is obtained from this press waste. Candles made from olive wax are therefore among the most sustainable candles on the market.

They have a crystalline shimmering surface, are odorless and vegan. This special candle creates a fascinating grid pattern as it burns.

“Rapeseed comes from Europe”

The candle wax for the rapeseed wax candles is produced from natural and renewable rapeseed wax. The rapeseed wax is extracted from the seeds of rapeseed plants

The warm candlelight of the rapeseed wax candle gives every festive table and every living room a special, cozy atmosphere. Its natural, soft, creamy white, porcelain-like color and the fine surface structure give the rapeseed wax candle a noble, exclusive look and a velvety feel.

Candles made from rapeseed wax are vegan and impress with their low-soot burning.

“natural fragrance.”

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honey bees to build their honeycombs. It is commonly used to make candles, lotions, balms and other natural products. Beeswax is biodegradable and does not produce harmful emissions.

Beeswax candles have a pleasant natural scent. However, the extraction of beeswax is difficult and costly, which makes it an expensive raw material.

“Paraffin can be colored in any shade”

The most commonly used raw material for candles is paraffin - a product from the petrochemical industry. Paraffin is particularly popular for candle production because it can be colored in any color and presents the color nuances excellently. Both strong colors and pastel shades are beautifully displayed in paraffin candles, and beautiful color plays and color combinations can be achieved.

“glittering structure”

Stearin is a natural fat extracted from vegetable oils. It is often used as a base for candles because it burns slowly and purely. Stearin candles have a long burning time, are environmentally friendly and do not cause harmful emissions. However, they are usually more expensive than paraffin candles.
